Before you buy — the printers' rules
We will print almost anything. The companies that make the goods have a few rules, and because they cancel orders that break them, you should know them before you pay.
Artwork made with AI. AI-generated artwork is allowed, and the rules around it differ by country. You are confirming you have the right to print and sell what you are uploading.
A real person's face or name. Using a celebrity, athlete or any real person's likeness or name needs their permission. Without it the printer may cancel the order.
Someone else's brand, character or artwork. Logos, brand names, film and TV characters, song lyrics and other people's artwork belong to whoever made them. Our printers cancel orders that use them without permission, and the order would be refunded rather than made. If you own it, licensed it, or made it yourself, you are fine.
Nudity on calendars, cards and notebooks. Wall calendars, wrapping paper, postcards, greeting cards and spiral notebooks are made by a partner who does not accept explicit or suggestive nudity. Other products are not affected.
Swearing on a garment with a visible brand label. Some blanks carry the manufacturer's own label. Printify does not allow profanity on those, to protect the brand on the tag. Wording like that may have to move to a different garment.
What no printer will make, waiver or not
Anything sexualising a child. Refused outright, by every printer and by us.
Content attacking people for who they are. Every printer we use refuses content that attacks people over race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability or similar. No waiver changes that, so we cannot take the order.
Somebody else's private information. Card numbers, government ID numbers, passwords and similar personal details cannot be printed unless the person they belong to has agreed.
Content promoting self-harm. Printful refuses content that promotes self-harm, and so do we.
Harassment or threats aimed at a named person. Content that threatens, defames or harasses a specific person is refused by our printers.
Support for terrorism or violent crime. Content promoting terrorism, violent crime or the groups behind them is refused by every printer we use.
